Low & Slow
It’s the first of the month and let me tell ya, for voiceover artists who do a lot of automotive and retail, it’s go-time. New offers, new discounts = new commercials. This is the time of the month when I have to food prep for the family and plan A LOT of Crock Pot meals because I’m in the booth all day. Today I loaded that sucker up with one of our favorites and thought I’d share this easy, peasy delicious recipe for anyone else who needs a convenient and simple meal.
I don’t have an official name for this, I made it up on the fly one day but it’s literally 4 ingredients…
4-6 thick cut pork chops (bone-in or out)
1 bottle of Lawry’s Steak and Chop marinade
Season the pork chops with salt and pepper and either throw them right into your Crock Pot or sear each side in a non-stick pan first and then throw them in. I like them seared, I think it helps to hold moisture so they come out even juicier. Arrange in the Crock Pot and pour 1/2 the bottle of Lawry’s Steak and Chop over them. Turn it on low and let them cook nice and slow, 4-6 hours depending on how many and how thick. In the end you’ll have some chops full of flavor and so tender. Serve with simple boxed or bagged mashed potatoes (Idahoan “Buttery” flavor is our favorite) and a salad or veggies and you are done.
